How Yoo & Tuu Capital Ltd collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data.

We collect only the information needed to deliver credit services responsibly.

• Identity data: full name, National Identification Number (NIN), date of birth, gender, and other know-your-customer details you provide.
• Contact data: phone number, email address, physical address, next of kin, guarantor, referee, and employment or business contact details where required for a loan application.
• Financial and loan data: requested loan amount, loan purpose, repayment period, repayment method, income details, bank or mobile money information, credit history, loan status, disbursement records, repayment schedules, payment history, and proof of processing-fee payment where applicable.
• Uploaded documents and media: photos, files, identity documents, proof of income, collateral documents, signatures, and other documents you choose to submit for verification or loan processing.
• Device contacts: with your explicit consent, YooApp may import contact names and phone numbers from your device and save them on your member profile for customer relationship, referral, verification, and support purposes.
• Device and app data: device identifiers, app version, crash logs, login records, and technical data needed to secure the app and maintain the service.
• Location data: with your consent, we may collect location information when it is required for lead capture, branch support, fraud prevention, or loan verification.
• Camera, photo, and file access: with your consent, the app may access your camera, selected photos, or files only so you can upload required application documents.

Your data is used for credit operations, verification, service delivery, and compliance.

• Creating and securing your YooApp account.
• Verifying your identity and eligibility to access credit services.
• Assessing loan applications, affordability, creditworthiness, and fraud risk.
• Processing loan approvals, disbursements, repayments, reminders, statements, and customer support requests.
• Generating repayment schedules, account records, audit trails, and regulatory reports.
• Complying with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), tax, credit reporting, consumer protection, and other applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your data.

Information is shared only where necessary for regulated lending operations, service delivery, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or with your consent.

• Regulatory authorities and government agencies, including the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority (UMRA), where required by law.
• Licensed credit reference bureaus and identity verification providers for credit checks, reporting, and compliance.
• Payment processors, banks, mobile money providers, and collection partners for disbursements, repayments, reconciliation, and recovery.
• Technology service providers such as hosting providers, SMS or email gateways, analytics, crash reporting, and customer support systems that help us operate the service.
• Professional advisers, auditors, courts, law enforcement, or dispute-resolution bodies where disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect rights and enforce agreements.

Permissions are requested only when needed for a clear feature.

• Camera access is used to capture application documents or proof of payment when you choose to upload them.
• Photo and file access is used to select and upload documents required for loan processing or account support.
• Contacts access is used only after your consent to import contact names and phone numbers to your member profile.
• Location access is used only where required for lead capture, field verification, branch support, fraud prevention, or compliance checks.
• YooApp does not require access to SMS logs or call logs for the Android app permissions currently used by the application.

We use security controls to protect your information.

We use access controls, encryption in transit where available, secure servers, audit logs, and internal procedures designed to protect personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide services, manage active accounts and loans, meet legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Ugandan law gives you clear rights over your personal data.

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your data once all financial, legal, and regulatory retention obligations have been fulfilled.
• Withdraw optional consent, such as permission access, where withdrawal does not prevent us from meeting legal or contractual obligations.
• Raise a privacy concern or complaint with us for review and resolution.

Our credit services are not intended for children.

YooApp is intended for adults who are legally eligible to apply for credit. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 years of age.
